About Us

Published by kalilea

Treasure HuntingTreasure Hunting is a place to share information about the many places around the world - particularly those in North America - where amateur treasure hunters can visit to search for fossils, hunt for rocks, pan for gold, or look for many of the other little treasures out there in the world.

In addition, we offer advice on the things you can do with these items after you find them. So whether you want to sell the items, expand your personal collection, or turn beautiful stones that you’ve found yourself into unique handmade jewelry, we hope to have some information here that will be of interest to you. We’d also love to hear suggestions from you on these matters. By sharing these ideas with one another, all of our hobbies and interests can grow.

Included in these pursuits, we’d also like to share some of the photographs of the scenic places that we have visited while treasure hunting. We are all so fortunate to live in such a beautiful world, and most of us just don’t take the time to enjoy it. Sharing photographs with each other is just another way that we can show off our little “treasures” in life.

Oh, wow, this is a very valuable website. I have not tried treasure digging, looks so nice, those stones in the picture. Were they a product of your hunting? I usually pick up some nice stones that I see, but mostly just in the ocean. I share your idea about sharing photographs with each other, it is our way of showing off our little “treasures” in life, that could come in different forms. Thanks for the visit in my site, your inspiting comment does liven up the spirit, I have not posted a lot yet, hoping so in time. Thanks again.

Thank you, Betchai! The stones on this page were not ones that I picked up myself - I had them mailed from a place in the Carolinas that operates several rock mines. It was a fun little experiment that I’d like to try again some day.

I hope you take some pictures of the stones you get from the ocean. I would love to see those, especially since you have such a talent for photography.
