Making Some Updates
I’ve been working on making some updates to the site, particularly on some of the static pages. I’ve added a few links to the Mohs Hardness Scale chart, but there’s still a lot of work to be done there and things have been quite hectic lately. I also started a new page to give a more in-depth look at crystal quartz polishing. So far, I’ve just added information through about the cleaning process, but as I’m still in the process of tumbling the crystals, it will be an ongoing job for quite some time.
I’ve also been trying to figure out ways to make the layout of this site a bit better. As there are some outside limitations to the the types of themes I can use, this is a lot easier said than done. For now, this theme seems to work the best of the options I have, but I’m not crazy about it. I keep exploring other alternatives, but nothing else fits right now. Oh well! I guess I’ll keep looking awhile longer.
I did remember to add a Widget listing the top Entrecard visitors to this site. I was a little skeptical about Entrecard at first, but through that service, I have found a great many sites that I enjoy. It’s also brought some very interesting people here. For those two reasons, I definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn’t signed up yet.

Yep - it’s just a Google Gadget for a Custom RSS Widget. Then I used the RSS feed link that you can find next to your Top Droppers list on the Statistics page in Entrecard. If you have any trouble setting it up, let me know and I’ll be glad to try and help!
Hi, Kalilea. I must agree about Entrecard, through it, I was able to find some great sites, some help also in blogging. It takes time, like what Melissa said, but I also kind of enjoy the process of knowing and discovering other blogs. And there are so many nice people around too. Though I must admit that on my first try to advertise, I was rejected right away
. Though I’ve met you at Today, you are one of the first two blogs I really enjoyed at Today and I kept on visiting each day after I learned your educational treasure hunting site, and am glad to find out that you are Entrecard too.
I do not know how to put the widgets of others if I put the top droppers, maybe, that one, I still have to search how. But maybe, I will just study first how to do it as a widget like what you did. Thanks a lot, I am learning
Thanks, Betchai - I have to admit that I was surprised how many other people are interested in rocks, too. Like I said above, if you need any help with the widgets, just let me know. I’ll be glad to do what I can.
Jael and Michelle - I’d love to have a banner like that, too. I even have some things already whipped up that I could use, but this theme won’t let me make a sub. Since I don’t have access to the code behind it, I’m kinda stuck there. So adding a banner would mean getting a new theme first. Maybe I can think better when I get over this stupid cold.
Oh, wow, thanks a lot Kalilea. I will ask you when I have more time to tweak my blog and put on the widgets of others. Hopefully, on the weekend
But that you soooo much for the offer of help.
Hello… honestly, I like your blog’s lay-out neat and well-organized. But with some widgets I guess it will add a touch of personality to it and the entrecard is perfect I have to agree with all these guys who commented earlier. And with the message you left me about the flea market… maybe it’s a good idea. there are lots of people who are looking for places to go. I wanted that kind of blog but since I am new in this country I don’t know any ther places except the ones in my own backyard and neighborhood hahahaha. I believe you can help people who are into antiqueing.
